Appointed in July 2018, Huw Wedlock is Director and CEO of the Singapore operation. He brings with him 20 years of industry experience working with financial advisers in multiple jurisdictions. As a committed and passionate individual, Huw will be focusing on raising standards and transparency in the Financial Advisory Industry.
Peter has more than 30 years experience in the accounting world, and over the last 22 years has specialised as an international tax adviser. Before joining The Fry Group in 2014, he spent 17 years working for EY, advising ultra-high net worth clients. He is a Fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians and delivers high-quality UK tax advice to private clients in Singapore and around the region as well as in Dubai and the Middle East.
Martin Wright joined the Singapore team in 2007 directly from the financial planning subsidiary of a Top 10 UK Accountancy Practice, after a long spell at one of the world's leading and largest Insurance Brokerage / Pension Actuarial Consultancy. With more that 20 years in the industry, Martin's experience and technical knowledge enable him to provide well rounded in-depth tax-driven financial planning advice on all subjects. During his time in the UK, Martin achieved the required passes to obtain the CII Advance Financial Planning Certificate.
Ashley Jones joined The Fry Group in August 2010 and has more that 12 years experience in the industry. Ashley holds a license to provide financial advice in Singapore. As well as the appropriate Singapore qualifications, he has completed the Certificate in Financial Planning issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.
Paddy Flynn joined The Fry Group as a Financial Planning Consultant in April 2012. Paddy relocated from Ireland to Singapore in the late 2011. Prior to Singapore, Paddy worked as a financial adviser for BDO Private Wealth Management for three years where Paddy specialized in delivering client's tax strategies, total portfolio management and construction, individual and group pension planning and business protection strategies. In 2010, Paddy achieved a Certificate in Stockbroking with BDO Private Wealth Management. Paddy's academic achievements are Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and Certificate in Pension exams. He also achieved a Masters in Business Studies (MBS) (Hons 1st Class) at the University College of Dublin and a Bachelors of Business Studies (BBS) (Hons 2nd Class) at the University of Limerick
Paddy holds appropriate licenses and qualifications under the Financial Advisers Act in Singapore, issued by the Singapore College of Insurance, the Institute of Banking and the Institute of Banking and Finance. Paddy is also qualified to advise on income protection insurance and as well as health insurance within the Singapore market place.
Gary Smithson joined the team in January 2018 bringing with him more than 20 years experience in retirement, tax and pension planning in both the UK and Singapore. Prior to joining The Fry Group, Gary worked with both individual private clients and SME's. Gary has been providing financial advice to expatriates in Singapore and the surrounding region since 2006. Gary is a member of the Personal Finance Society in the UK and is accredited with the UK’s Certificate in Financial Planning. He is currently working towards becoming a Certified Financial Planner.
Toby joined the team in early 2017 and is a UK qualified financial adviser, holding the level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning with the LIBF, the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Certificate and is studying towards Chartered status. Toby is licensed to provide financial advice by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
