David has been living and working in Asia for over 8 years and is responsible for The Fry Group's activities in the region. He is designated Chief Executive Officer and Chief Risk Officer. David is a highly experienced adviser with over 19 years industry experience and currently looks after a portfolio of 50 private clients. Committed and passionate about raising standards and transparency of the Financial Advisory industry in South East Asia, David holds the internationally recognised CISI Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. David specialises in working with clients to design individual, bespoke financial planning strategies aligned to their personal goals and aspirations. Prior to his move to Asia, David was employed by Hargreaves Lansdown, one of the leading wealth management firms in the UK, as a Financial Practitioner responsible for Central London. David is an active Board Member of The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and in 2011 won the prestigious Young Professional of the Year award at the annual British Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
Martin joined the Singapore office in 2007 directly from the financial planning subsidiary of a Top 10 UK Accountancy Practice, after a long spell at one of the world's leading and largest Insurance Brokerage / Pension Actuarial Consultancy.
With over 22 years industry experience mostly spent at the highest level, Martin's experience and technical knowledge enable him to provide well rounded in-depth tax-driven financial planning advice on all subjects. Martin also looks after the Pensions Assessment Service.
During his time in the UK, Martin achieved the required passes to obtain the CII Advance Financial Planning Certificate.
Miles Gooseman joined The Fry Group in 2011, as a consultant with over 8 years experience in Financial Services. Miles has been living in Singapore since 2009 and previously worked for Old Mutual - a FTSE 100 company, as a Regional Manager for South East Asia. Prior to Singapore, he worked for Hartford Life for five years bringing over GBP80m of new assets to their UK business. In 2004, he qualified with a BA (Hons) 1st Class in Marketing and is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Planning in the UK. Miles is an active member of The British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and co-chairs the Entrepreneur & Small Business Committee. In 2014, Miles was awarded the British Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year title at the 15th Annual Business awards.
Ashley Jones joined The Fry Group in August 2010 and has five years experience in the financial services industry. Ashley is licensed to provide financial advice in Singapore and in addition to the appropriate Singapore qualifications, he has completed the Certificate in Financial Planning issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.
He is currently studying for the Internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification.
Paddy Flynn joined The Fry Group as a Financial Planning Consultant in April 2012. Paddy relocated from Ireland to Singapore in the late 2011. Prior to Singapore, Paddy worked as a financial adviser for BDO Private Wealth Management for three years where Paddy specialized in delivering client's tax strategies, total portfolio management and construction, individual and group pension planning and business protection strategies. In 2010, Paddy achieved a Certificate in Stockbroking with BDO Private Wealth Management. Paddy's academic achievements are Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and Certificate in Pension exams. He also achieved a Masters in Business Studies (MBS) (Hons 1st Class) at the University College of Dublin and a Bachelors of Business Studies (BBS) (Hons 2nd Class) at the University of Limerick
Paddy holds appropriate licenses and qualifications under the Financial Advisers Act in Singapore, issued by the Singapore College of Insurance, the Institute of Banking and the Institute of Banking and Finance. Paddy is also qualified to advise on income protection insurance and as well as health insurance within the Singapore market place.
Ian joined the team in 2012 and is licensed to provide financial advice by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Ian is an Associate Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association of Singapore, is qualified with the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore and is studying towards the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification.
Martin Rimmer is a Senior Tax Manager at The Fry Group and is a specialist in residence, domicile, Inheritance Tax planning and tax-efficient wealth structuring and protection. Based in Singapore, Martin joined The Fry Group in 1999 and now has responsibility for Private Clients throughout South East Asia, providing bespoke UK tax planning and compliance solutions, opinions and technical briefings. Martin is an energetic and engaging speaker on UK tax issues, and is a regular presenter at British Chamber and in-house events around the region. He also writes regularly for a variety of publications, and is regularly quoted in the British Press. Recent presentations have included "The New Statutory Residence Test Explained', 'Inheritance Tax Demystified', 'Top Tax Tips for Expatriates' and 'Avoiding Tax on UK Pensions'. Martin Rimmer has a BSc Hons in German with Economics and International Business from Surrey University.
Jonathan joined the Singapore team in 2016 and is a qualified accountant and tax adviser. A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), he specialises in providing UK tax advice to non-UK resident individuals, covering matters such as residency status, property taxes and Inheritance Tax. In addition, Jonathan advises on UK company formations and Corporation Tax matters for clients returning to the UK to set up a business, or indeed those who have been running a business abroad and are expanding to the UK market.
